Rolex and architecture – the quest for excellence
Two new buildings, in Dallas and Milan, which reflect Rolex's pioneering spirit, are the focus of a unique exhibition at Pisa Orologeria - Rolex Boutique in Milan, from 4 - 9 April, as part of the Fuorisalone 2017. Milan's Studio Albini has delivered a Rolex service and logistics centre in the Porta Romana area of the city that is in keeping with the company's dedication to precision and performance, while Japanese architect Kengo Kuma's dynamic, twisted tower has createci a benchmark in form and environmental sophistication in Dallas, Texas.
In the design and construction of its own buildings over the past 50 years, Rolex has required the highest standards of design. The company's building projects have involved internationally acclaimed architects, becoming an icon of modem architecture. Rolex's commitment to outstanding architecture is further reflected in its role as the Exclusive Partner and Official Timepiece of the Architecture Exhibition La Biennale di Venezia, since 2014, and its mentoring programme tor young architects through the Rolex Mentor and Protégé Arts lnitiative.
