Girard-Perregaux is a is a Swiss high end watch manufacturer tracing its origins back to 1791. The history of the Maison is marked by legendary watches – from the Tourbillon with Three Bridges to the iconic Laureato – where meticulous design blends with technological innovation. Aesthete of the invisible, in 2019 the Maison is exploring the Cosmos, the essence of time, by introducing a new universe of innovative materials, such as carbon glass and sapphire, and unexpected complications within the fundamental collections, united by a single theme: “Earth to Sky”.
This collection is directly inspired by the famous pocket watch created by Constant Girard which received a gold medal on the occasion of the 1889 Universal Exhibition in Paris. Thanks to its ingenious symmetrical architecture, the movement becomes the face of the “Bridges” watches.
Born in the 70s from the need to create a sporty and at the same time elegant watch, the Laureato is today one of the undisputed protagonists of its segment. Adaptable to all circumstances and with an unique design characterized by the integration of the case with the bracelet, the Laureato collection presents itself in different materials, movements and complications, but always with the winning octagonal bezel, the distinctive sign of this icon.
