SALONE DEL MOBILE 2022 MILANO

SALONE DEL MOBILE 2022 MILAN

After two years of restrictions and smaller-scale events, the Salone del Mobile 2022 officially represented an economic and tourist recovery: with visitors from 173 different countries and international buyers, Milan came alive with its usual frenzy and with its numerous activities scattered throughout the city.
Architectural studios, emerging and non-emerging brands, have finally been able to regain their showcase by presenting their innovative proposals in the light of a new post-pandemic reality.

FURNITURE FAIR 2022: FOCUS ON SUSTAINABILITY

Password of this Show 2022 And sustainability : the emphasis is on the use of ethical materials and on the more conscious choices of consumers who approach the world of design. Environmental protection and personal well-being are placed at the center of every project: the demand for more sustainable materials it comes directly from the final consumer, who is increasingly attentive to the protection of the surrounding space.

THE GREAT DESIGNERS AT THE MILAN FURNITURE FAIR

Brera and the historic center were, as usual, the busiest areas and full of exhibitions, exhibitions and installations.
The great attraction of the year is represented by the Louis Vuitton space , which opened the doors to the new redeveloped “Garage Traversi” space, in San Babila. On the occasion of the tenth anniversary of Objets Nomades collection , pieces dedicated to lifestyle and home were presented, created in collaboration with international designers of the caliber of Patricia Urquiola, India Mahdavi, Atelier Biagetti, Barber & Osgerby, Campana Brothers, Raw Edges etc…

Another relevant exhibition in the "fashion/design" field was the one by Hermes . In the large exhibition space in Via Palermo, the evocative exhibition was staged, "organised" in four structures which can be accessed to view the objects proposed for the home. The watchword is lightness: cashmere dominated the entire exhibition, proposed in different textures and fabric patchworks, and ceramic shone under the artificial light, bringing out its colors and brilliance.

Completely immersed in nature was the “Feeling the Energy” installation created for Plenitude: a “multisensory” journey through the Brera botanical garden. Installations made of copper offered us sounds, wind or splashes of water, referring to energy and its many ways of being perceived in space. This immersive experience , to the tune of "The Four Seasons" by Vivaldi, associated energy and nature, making the visitor reflect on this fundamental combination for daily life.
During the week of the Show, the urban environment gave way to natural micro-habitats, to help us recover that fundamental and vital contact with the environment that surrounds us.

In conclusion, the Show proved, as always, to be an event of global importance aimed at valorising the work and progress of our companies, ambassadors of Made in Italy in the world, unique for their excellence and refinement.
