Automatic Movement, Central Seconds, with Date

The range of Franck Muller products this year is enriched by a new range of fully automatic movements designed and manufactured within the Franck Muller Watchland group.

Derived from the FM #3210 automatic movement, they resume the original crank-handle rod winding system which is characterized by a special disposition gear that allows the option to display the seconds centrally or at 9 o'clock. This option is added without any modification of the movement and without a friction spring.

A self-winding mechanism movement that also features a semi-instantaneous date.

The movement allows the classic display of hour, minute and central seconds or at 9 o'clock with the date at 6 o'clock.

The winding crown has three positions of which one incorporates rapid date correction.

Automatic Chronograph with Date

THE CONCEPT

After several years of research and development, Franck Muller's engineers, and master watchmakers present their first Chronograph designed and manufactured entirely in house.

The FM# 3210 automatic movement is a refined masterpiece of engineering that was manufactured in a non traditional manner which utilizes an original crank-handle rod winding system which is visible between the bridge and plate. The finishing & decoration of the movement is made to the highest standards of traditional Swiss watch-making & finishing that includes hand-bevelling, Côtes de Genève, diamond polishing and rhodium-plating.

The movement is based on a traditional column wheel mechanism and original vertical couplings that are simple but at the same time very reliable. The Chronograph measures an event with a precision of 1/6th of a second thanks to a balance spring that oscillates at 21'600 vibrations per hour (3Hz)

In addition, the Chronograph has a fly-back function that allows zero time resetting of the counters at any moment and restarting the cycle of measurement.

The mechanism incorporates a semi-instantaneous date function and a small second at 9 o'clock.

DISPLAY AND FUNCTIONS

The movement allows the classic display of hour, minute, small seconds at 9 o'clock and the date at 6 o'clock.

The Chronograph is a central seconds and a 30 minute counter at 3 o'clock

The Push-button located at 2 o'clock allows the start and stop of the Chronograph

The Push-button located at 4 o'clock performs the reset and the fly-back function.

The winding crown has three setting positions of which one incorporates rapid date correction.
