This celebration recalls a one-time opportunity that it provided in 2006, with Pisa Watchmaking at the centre of the new commercial dynamic in facing the Four Corners of fashion. To celebrate the continual and constant evolution of these six decades of Pisa Watchmaking, Officine Panarei, historic Italian brand leader in world-wide high range watch making, has made a limited series watch.

The Radiomir Chrono Rattrapante for Pisa Watchmaking presents an entirely new look, with a case 45 millimetres in diameter, with the back plate that shows individual numeration and personalization with the Pisa logo, is offered exclusively in precious metals, for a rarity also shown by the range of offerings: 20 models in white gold with chronographic buttons in rose gold, and 5 watches made with platinum cases. The hands of the Radiomir Chrono Rattrapante are activated by the Panerai OP XVIII gauge, a self-charging mechanism with a 42-hour reserve that, due to the mix of the chronographic functions, uses a double wheel column system.

Calatrava Ref. 5296R and Ref. 5296G - Limited edition for Pisa Orologeria

A limited edition commemorative watch.

Amongst the surprises reserved to the visitors of the new “Patek Philippe Space”, a special edition commemorative watch: the Calatrava Reference 5296 in rose and white gold, in a new version with a red seconds hand, each in a limited number of 25 pieces.

The choice of one of the classic timepieces of Patek Philippe, the Calatrava, does not only represent a tribute to tradition, of which the emblem is a symbol in itself of the manufacturing (the Cross of Calatrava), but also the confirmation of that which can be defined as the philosophy of the brand, the simplicity of beauty and the beauty of simplicity. Born in 1932, at the height of the Art Deco period and the Bauhaus experience, the Calatrava watch takes its rounded form from its function, which is that of indicating hours, minutes, seconds and the date on a round space on the watch-face with the maximum simplicity and readability. The Ref. 5296, in particular, is one of the most precise models of this “family” of Patek Philippe watches, with its completely smooth and large bezel. In this sense it is a mandatory choice, in line with the architectonic style of the new “Patek Philippe Space”.

Technically, the Calatrava Ref. 5296 is a practical and modern watch. In respect to the other models of this family, it has the advantage of mechanical winding, the height of which is aesthetically balanced by its large diameter of 38 millimetres. In this sense, the choice of this model – with its sapphire crystal case back with the engraving “Pisa Orologeria 2008 Limited Edition” – is not only a commemoration of a glorious past but also a promise for the future.
